 CommitteesOur committees are the "working" divisions of the Alliance. The majority of our programs will be developed and implemented at the
this level. All members are encouraged to participate on one or more committees. Adoption and Education CommitteeDeveloping a behavior helpline to help citizens with pet behavior problems. A two-day Behavior Helpline Volunteer Training Class was held on November 10 and 11, 2007. Another training class will be scheduled the first of the year. Exemplary Shelter CommitteeAt present the committee is focused on developing programs in the Oklahoma City Shelter that can then be duplicated in other municipal shelters. The committee is developing an adoption greeter program, defining vaccination protocols for animals entering the shelter and refining the foster care program. Developing a foster care network and health and vaccine requirements for the transport program. Develop and maintain a metro web site for lost and found animals. Read the Lifesaving Committee report. Access To Spay/Neuter CommitteeDeveloping a brochure for low income spay/neuter options, and a presentation to encourage veterinarian organizations to help provide these services. They have developed PowerPoint presentations, a membership brochure, and are working on a speakers bureau and identifying writers to develop articles for release to the media.
